HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I wanted to wish all of you Happy Holidays and give you a quick update.

Mac is still hanging in and doing pretty good.  There were a few days when I thought it was “time” like when he fell down in the yard and I had to have a neighbor help me carry him in.  It was the only time I’ve heard him cry but I think it was because he was scared.  Once we picked him up and brought him in, he was fine.

He has since learned to use potty pads after holding it longer than I ever thought was possible.  He is so smart.  He knows right where to go and the Goodnites crib pads are wonderful.  They are large and self-adhesive at the four corners.

He still has the desire to eat, play and especially get treats.  We have even played ball a few times where I sit on the bottom step, he sits on the floor about a foot away from me and I throw the ball in his mouth.  He still tries to pick up his dog bed and hump it from time to time.  I used to get mad at him because of the holes I would have to sew up but it’s just a dog bed.

Melinda had surgery almost two weeks ago.  One bump was on her rectum, the other on the inside of her hip.  Thankfully, they are both benign although Mast Cell Tumors can be scary so I have to watch her.  She also had a little white spot from her lower lid removed, her teeth cleaned and a molar taken out.  He did a great job on the eye surgery. You can’t even tell and she hasn’t tried to scratch it once. She bounced back very quickly.

I’m more than grateful we have made it through Christmas.  I admit, my spirits were a little down and I didn’t leave the house for a few weeks except when necessary just in case.  I wanted to be with him as much as possible.  And yes, I’m still sleeping on the floor. But I’ve tweaked it a little more and it’s pretty comfy.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a New Year of happiness, lots of love and wonderful memories.

CRAZY WAL-MART SHOPPER

I'm one of those crazy Wal-mart shoppers that everyone stares at but not because my butt-crack is showing.  This doesn't include the dry food or litter.
